From November 20, 2009, the Eco Design Directive EuP was replaced with the New Energy-Related Products Directive (ErP) 2009/125/EC. The original Eco design directive for energy-consuming products only covered energy-consuming products such as microwave ovens, washing machines or televisions. In addition to the products covered by the original EuP directive, the new ErP directive also includes energy-related products that do not directly use energy, such as double-glazed windows, faucets and sprinklers.
The European Commission defines energy-related products as "anything that has an impact on energy consumption during use". Energy-related products include all energy-consuming products and energy-saving products, such as windows and some household appliances that require water (which can reduce water consumption, thereby reducing the energy required for water heating). Since November 20, 2010, all EU member states have begun to implement the ErP directive.
On December 18, 2008, the European Commission published the "Commission Regulation (EC) NO 1275/2008, 2005/32/EC" in its official gazette. This implementation measure is for the shutdown/standby power consumption of household and office electronic and electrical equipment Ecological design requirements;
On April 7, 2009, "Commission Conditions (EC) NO 278/2009, 2005/32/EC", the implementation measure is aimed at the ecological design requirements of external power supplies;
On July 23, 2009, "Commission Regulation (EC) NO 640/2009, 2005/32/EC", the implementation measure is aimed at the ecological design requirements of electric motors;
On July 23, 2009, "Commission Regulation (EC) NO 642/2009, 2005/32/EC", the implementation measure is aimed at the ecological design requirements of TV sets;
On August 23, 2013, "Commission Regulation (EU) NO 801/2013, 2009/125/EC", the implementation measure is for the ecological design requirements of home and office electronic and electrical equipment shutdown/standby power consumption/network standby;
The Erp directive is covered by the European Union CE, which has the same status as LVD, EMC, ROHS, MD, WEEE, etc.; the old directive is 2005/32/EC, and the new directive is EU.1194/2012, which was formally implemented on December 12, 2012 .
The main implementation directives for lighting products:
For lighting products, the current implementation directives and products within the Erp framework are mainly as follows:
Command transition zone
The Erp directive stipulates a transition zone for product requirements, the main purpose of which is to provide a certain buffer time for the technological improvement of products. The requirements for the transition zone between 244 and 245 in lighting products are as follows:
Eco-design requirements
(EC) No. 244/2009 Eco-design requirements for non-directional household lamps (involving non-directional incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, CFL, LED lamps, etc.): propose light efficiency requirements, functional requirements and product information requirements (no function for LED lights Require);
(EU) No. 1194/2012 Eco-design requirements for directional lights, LED lights and related equipment Control devices, dimmers, lamps, etc.)): Put forward light efficiency requirements, functional requirements and product information requirements;
Note: Directional lights—within a cone solid angle of 120°, they occupy at least 80% of the light output.
