In order to fulfill China's WTO accession commitments, adapt to the needs of China's market economy development, and establish a technology evaluation mechanism in line with international standards, China has established a China Compulsory Product Certification System (CCC certification) based on four unified principles.
CCC certification is a complete or partial replacement of the original import and export commodity safety and quality licensing system (CCIB), mandatory safety certification supervision system (Great Wall), network access license system, sales license system, and industrial product production license system.
The CNCA issued the compulsory product certification system on December 3, 2001 in accordance with the work responsibilities assigned by the State Council. Since May 1, 2002, the first batch of certification applications for 132 products in 19 categories and listed in the compulsory product certification catalogue has been accepted.
